HARPERSFIELD TOWNSHIP — Weather reports indicating temperatures are likely to drop below 10 degrees are a reason for most people to stay inside with a cup of cocoa.

Such is not the case for area wineries that produce ice wine. Grapes for ice wine must be harvested when the temperature is between eight to 18 degrees for several hours.
