A man was in police custody when he died following an incident at a Glasgow city centre flat. ‌

Emergency services rushed to Berkeley Street after the alarm was raised at 6.45am on Friday. ‌

Police Scotland has confirmed a 39-year-old man was taken into police custody where he became unresponsive before being pronounced dead at the scene. ‌

Two women, aged 25 and 40, and a 27-year-old man were also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the man’s death is being treated as unexplained, with officers remaining at the scene but there is no risk to the wider public. ‌
