A pedestrian is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Cheltenham town centre yesterday afternoon.
Gloucestershire Constabulary have confirmed that the pedestrian in question is a woman in her 70s, who was taken to Southmead Hospital in North Bristol for treatment to serious injuries.
It follows a collision involving a pedestrian and a car on Cheltenham High Street.
The crash happened at 5.10pm yesterday (Friday December 5).
Road closures were put into place at the time on High Street as well as Rodney Road with the junction for Imperial Square and Albion Street, with motorists and pedestrians being asked to avoid the area while emergency services were at the scene.
