It’s leading some seniors to seek help from nonprofits like Volunteers in Service to the Elderly in Lakeland.
What You Need To Know • Volunteers in Service to the Elderly, or VISTE , is a nonprofit organization that serves at-risk seniors in Lakeland • Its supplemental groceries program started over 20 years ago and has since continued to increase the number of people it serves • The nonprofit serves people 70 and older
While most of us get in our cars to head to the grocery store, for seniors in Lakeland, their drive is to VISTE to pick up their monthly groceries free of charge.
