A strong cold front will sweep through New Jersey Sunday night causing temperatures to plummet Monday night with lows in the single and teens.
Overnight lows on Saturday will be in the 20s across much of the state.
Sunday will start mild with high temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s under increasing clouds.
The cold front will move through Sunday evening, bringing a sharp wind shift to the northwest and triggering strong cold air.
While the front itself should pass mostly dry, a few flurries are possible north of Interstate 78.
Monday will be bitterly cold across the state as Arctic high pressure settles in.
High temperatures will struggle to reach the mid to upper 20s inland and low 30s along the Jersey Shore, well below normal for early December.
Northwest winds gusting to 25
