A powerful cold front will sweep through New Jersey overnight into Monday morning, bringing wind gusts up to 40 mph and dangerous cold temperatures.
The cold front is expected to cross through the state between 1 and 9 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
Behind the front, wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph are expected, with the strongest winds occurring Monday morning.
High temperatures on Monday will only reach the mid 20s to lower 30s across the state, with wind chill values remaining in the teens and low 20s throughout much of the day.
Monday night will be the coldest of the week and likely the coldest so far this season for most locations.
