New Jersey residents should prepare the coldest temperatures of the season with most of the state remaining below freezing Monday and gusty winds making it feel even colder.
A cold front will cross New Jersey late Sunday into early Monday morning with a few flurries possible in northwestern areas.
Winds will gust between 25 and 35 mph overnight and into Monday morning.
A blast of Arctic air will follow the front and send temperatures tumbling, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday night into Tuesday morning is expected to be the coldest night of the week.
Low temperatures will range from single digits in northwestern New Jersey to the low to mid teens across most other areas, with areas along the Jersey Shore closer to 20 to 25 degrees.
