CAIRO, Ill. (WSIL) -- Shawnee Community College celebrated 10 new graduates from its Highway Construction Careers Training Program.

The ceremony took place on Thursday at the Mighty Rivers Regional Worship Center in Cairo. Family, friends, and community members attended to support the graduates.

Shawnee Community College has partnered with the Illinois Department of Transportation since 2022 for this program.

"We wish all of these program completers all the best as they move on to their next chapter," said a representative from Shawnee Community College.
