GRAND ISLAND, Neb (KSNB) — The Be the Light Winter Festival returned Saturday afternoon to the Full Circle Venue, combining holiday activities with mental health awareness for local families.
The annual event featured activities for children and mental health resources for adults. Organizers said the festival aims to support families during the holiday season.
Jessica Kutz, a Be the Light Foundation volunteer, said families brought their children to receive prizes while adults accessed mental health information.
“We have resources for mental health like warning signs when someone is struggling,” Kutz said. “We have self-care sheets. We try to give out the 988 number. We try to give out resources that people don’t even know about.”
