About two-thirds of the cases recorded by Santander involved females
A major UK bank has put out a word of warning to customers, as people have been losing hundreds of pounds worth of money from their accounts. It comes as Santander has reported that as much as £50k has been taken from people in the past year.
The bank says the majority of account holders affected have been female victims. In response, Santander is urging customers , and Christmas shoppers in general, not to take "serious risks" this month, as it has recorded nearly £50k stolen from customers by beauty treatment scammers .
The scams range from counterfeit perfumes and make-up to Botox, lip and collagen fillers, and other cosmetic treatments, the bank said. About two-thirds (68%) of the cases recorded by Santan
