BATHROOM BREAK-IN

Someone in Barnstable got a surprise when they encountered an owl perched on a curtain rod in their bathroom. The Eastern screech owl was taken to the Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable , and was found to be slightly underweight and dehydrated, probably due to being trapped inside the house for a few days. Veterinarian Dr. Priya Patel said the little bird showed some signs of head trauma but otherwise didn’t have any major injuries, and was eating well. “He perked up with just a meal or two,” Patel said.
