BOWLING GREEN — The Northwestern Water and Sewer District said it reached a construction milestone on Sunday with the new elevated water tank on State Rt. 582 in Wood County’s Middleton Township, the one that will serve the future $800 million Meta data center.
Crews raised the tower’s 2-million-gallon tank into place. They used a hydraulic pulley system to lift the steel tank to the top of the concrete pedestal. The work was done over five hours. Remaining work includes placing the roof panels and electrical and internal piping and structure work.
The tank will hold water produced by Bowling Green’s water-treatment plant, enabling the district to serve customers in the Dunbridge and Middleton Township areas, including Meta.
