CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio – Nature provides a time out from the frenzy of the holiday rush Sunday, Dec. 14 with three programs offered through The West Woods park. You can take a rare guided-hike from 1-3:30 p.m. into the restricted area of Ansel’s Cave with park naturalist Andy Avram. There participants will view the history written in in the geological features and the stories the rocks hold. The hike is three miles over hilly terrain with a stream crossing. Sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are highly recommended. No registration is required.

Meanwhile from 2:30-3:30 naturalist Linda Gilbert will give a Zoom presentation on the survey results from research at the parks. It will highlight results from butterfly, dragonfly and bird surveys conducted this year spring through fall
