Syracuse, N.Y. — Only two weeks into the Section III basketball season and it already feels like it’s in full swing.
We’ve had weather delays, snow days, championship rematches, upsets and everything in between.
The biggest riser in the section this week comes in Class AAA with Christian Brothers Academy going from unranked to No. 3 in the class.
The Brothers opened the season with a loss to Liverpool — the new No. 1 in AAA — but have won three straight over ranked teams.
The week ahead features big games for Class B squads, including Marcellus at Phoenix on Monday, Skaneateles at Phoenix on Tuesday, Jordan-Elbridge at CBA on Wednesday and Westhill at Skaneateles on Friday.
These games all feature two ranked teams looking to make statements early in the season.
