Syracuse, N.Y. - An 18-year-old Syracuse woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing on Saturday morning, Syracuse police say.
Janice Harrell used a kitchen knife to stab a 43-year-old woman multiple times in the back, shoulders and head, according to Kieran Coffey, a spokesperson for Syracuse police.
Syracuse police were dispatched to the 2000 block of East Fayette Street around 7:51 a.m. Saturday for the stabbing.
Officers arrived at the scene and found that the victim had been transported by a private vehicle to Crouse Hospital, according to a news release.
There was a verbal argument between the two that turned physical, Coffey said.
The victim was listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
