BEVERLY, Mass. —
Massachusetts State Police are investigating an incident at a service plaza on Route 128, where shots were reportedly fired at a vehicle after a verbal altercation.
The incident occurred at the rest stop along the northbound side in Beverly around 1 a.m.
Jakob Parpart, the victim, explained during a phone interview that the altercation began while he was pumping gas at the Shell gas station.
"I drive by and start leaving, he's standing right in front of his car. He puts his hand up as if he's going to shoot me. He pulls up his t-shirt like he's grabbing for a gun. I drive in front of him again, and he starts like stepping towards my truck," Parpart said.
Parpart said that his vehicle now has three bullet holes.
