MARINE PARK — Winners of the year-long Nature Photography Competition at the Salt Marsh Alliance were honored Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Salt Marsh Nature Center, 3301 Ave. U.

Community members gathered for warm refreshments and a screening of the striking images celebrating Marine Park’s natural landscapes as a continuation of the center’s 25th anniversary.

“We started this in the early 2000s, and we had a photography contest every year until [Hurricane] Sandy. We renewed it for a while, and then the pandemic came, then they had to do reconstruction on the building. We finally got it together again this year,” SMA President Jessica Schulman said.
