KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee basketball forward Cade Phillips will undergo season-ending surgery, per our media partners at Volquest.
Phillips dislocated his left shoulder last January in Tennessee’s SEC opener against Arkansas and re-injured it during the offseason.
Phillips has been wearing a brace on his left shoulder/arm this season that goes all the way to his wrist.
The junior forward averages 3.8 points and 4.0 rebounds in 16.9 minutes per game so far this season. He has started in nine of the 10 games.
No. 20 Tennessee is off this week as they prepare for No. 11 Louisville next Tuesday, December 16 at Food City Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
