LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Charles Tilley reunited with former WLKY news anchor Liz Everman at the annual WLKY and Wednesday's Child Adoptathon on Monday, marking a heartfelt reunion decades in the making.

In 1981, Everman featured an 8-year-old Tilley in a segment while he was in foster care.

"It kind of gives me the chills. You know, I look back at that video that we did, and I was just happy, little kid. And, you know, the look on her face was just, it was, I keep saying the word genuine, but, you know, her smile was a genuine smile and she really just made me feel at ease," Tilley said.
