ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The St. Louis Board of Police Commissioners approved a three-year contract for SLMPD Police Chief Robert J. Tracy.

“Under the Chief’s leadership, the brave men and women of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are helping drive down violent crime across the city,” President of the board, Chris Saracino, said in a press release. “We want to build on this trend and make St. Louis safer, which will strengthen our entire region.”

According to the chief’s employment agreement, which was signed on Monday, he will be paid $183,000 a year.
