ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A St. Louis non-profit is working around the clock to help homeowners impacted by the May tornado, ahead of dangerously cold weather this weekend.
Operation Any Means Necessary has helped to tarp hundreds of tornado-stricken homes since May and continues to offer its help with major home repairs.
“We don’t want to see the historical St. Louis get demolished,” said Mike Avery, President of Operation Any Means Necessary. “It’s already bad a lot will be because there are so many homes not reparable, but the ones that are, we’re definitely going to help.”
Avery said the key to restoring as many old homes as possible is to make necessary roof repairs, minimizing the impact of snow and rain on the inside of the homes.
