ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A 7-year-old St. Louis boy born four months premature received an all-expenses-paid trip to Disney World on Tuesday from Ranken Jordan Hospital.
Bennett Dieckhaus and his family were surprised with the vacation to Orlando, Florida, thanks to Baking Memories 4 Kids, a nonprofit organization that provides trips for children with life-threatening or terminal illnesses.
Bennett was born at only 23 weeks old. Doctors gave him just a 10% chance of survival. He spent 183 days in the NICU, going through multiple medical issues and procedures.
Bennett continues to face challenges, including a life-threatening seizure disorder, but has made a positive impact on those around him.
