County bicentennial sculpture unveiling

A sculpture created to celebrate Allen County’s bicentennial will be dedicated at 1 p.m. Monday, officials announced Tuesday.

“Roots Run Deep” by Julie Wall will be installed at the intersection of the Pufferbelly Trail and the Salomon Farm Trail near the Dupont Road underpass for the Pufferbelly, according to a news release.

The Bicentennial Executive Board and representatives from Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation and Fort Wayne Greenways will host the ceremony.

This is the last of 15 Bicentennial Legacy Project Sculptures that will have a dedication ceremony. The sculpture was damaged in its original location along the Pufferbelly Trail.
