Over 40 people have been struck down with food poisoning after dining at a pub in the quaint Welsh village of Llangynwyd. The Corner House Inn announced its temporary closure for thorough cleaning on Monday, December 1, following reports of patrons falling ill shortly after their Sunday lunch at the establishment.

Public Health Wales (PHW) has since confirmed that 43 people have fallen ill. An investigation revealed it was a foodborne bacteria known as clostridium perfringens.
