The latest weather maps are giving UK households a glimpse at what to expect this Christmas period.
Temperatures are expected to reach a bitterly cold -4C, with snow along the west coast of Scotland and North West England on December 20, according to WXCHARTS.
On December 22, the Scottish Highlands is expected to plummet to -4C, while England will remain at 2C.
