GALLOWAY TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Officials say a man was flown to the hospital after being rescued from a burning townhouse in Atlantic County on Wednesday morning.

It happened just before 4 a.m. on the 100 block of Waterview Drive in Galloway Township, New Jersey.

Heavy damage could be seen to one of the townhomes.

A man in his 60s was rescued by two volunteer firefighters from inside the burning home and flown to the hospital, where he remains in intensive care.

A police spokesperson says this fire is being considered suspicious, but has not given any more details as to why.

The investigation has been turned over to the Atlantic County prosecutor's office.
