(Sioux Falls, SD) — Governor Larry Rhoden is calling for an investigation into an abortion pill advertising campaign. The ads from Mayday Health are being posted at regional convenience stores and gas stations across South Dakota. Abortion is illegal in the state except in cases when the mother’s life is in danger. On Tuesday, Rhoden said he wants the attorney general to investigate the ads, saying they may be in violation of state laws. Mayday Health doesn’t provide or ship abortion pills, but rather provides info on abortion options.
