OMAHA, Neb. —
Omaha police are investigating a deadly pedestrian crash.
The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of 59th Street and Ames Avenue.
When first responders got to the scene, they found a 55-year-old woman, who had been operating a motorized wheelchair, injured.
The investigation has found that the woman was heading east on Ames Avenue when a 2012 Chevy Silverado hit her, throwing her from the wheelchair into a Smart Fortwo that was in the westbound turning lane.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
