ROSCOMMON COUNTY — A Roscommon County Commissioner, David Samuel Russo, was charged with multiple felonies following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault involving a mentally incapable 16-year-old victim.

Russo, 67, was charged with three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct – third degree and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was arrested by Michigan State Police without incident on Nov. 21.

A special prosecutor was appointed to the case in 82nd District Court, where Russo was arraigned on Dec. 10 and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
