The decomposing body found in a Stamford, Conn., home following a deadly standoff last week was publicly identified Wednesday by police.
Carmine Boccuzzi , who would have been 79 years old, was found dead in the home belonging to Jed Parkington and his wife, Stamford police said in a Facebook post.
Boccuzzi had previously rented a room from Parkington , and his name was listed on the home’s eviction papers, WCBS reported. Boccuzzi’s death was ruled a homicide by “blunt impact injuries of the head and torso with gagging,” according to the state medical examiner.
A state marshal arrived at the home on Dec. 2 to evict Parkington , who was years behind on his mortgage, authorities said. Parkington, 63, met the marshal at the back door with explosives on his belt, tossed his wife out
