WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - A dedicated National Guard recruitment office is open at Jefferson Community College.

Located in Enrollment Services in the Jules Center, the year-round space allows New York Army National Guard recruiters to meet with prospective service members and allows students to explore military career pathways, tuition benefits, and part-time service opportunities.

Recruiters say it makes resources more accessible.

Staff at JCC say it highlights the campus’s collaboration with the military, and will provide more support for military-affiliated students.

“With students obviously right here in the admissions building are able to see their opportunities and ability to obtain different benefits, they can walk right in and ask any questions that they have,” said SSG Josi
