ENFIELD, Conn. (WFSB) - Police in Enfield are continuing to crack down on shoplifting this holiday season.

With the help of Connecticut State Police, local police launched an operatio at several stores in town on Monday and teamed up with loss prevention workers and rounded up five suspects.

Hartford residents 49-year-old Adbul-Karriem Mahdee, 28-year-old Nathalie Viera and 39-year-old Krista Ambrose from Wilbraham, Massachusetts were charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

Other suspects faced the same larceny degree and conspiracy to commit larceny, they were identified as 23-year-old Nayeli Hernandez and 28-year-old Nathalie Rivera both of Hartford.

A woman from East Longmeadow, Massachusetts is also facing a larceny degree as well as another charge for interfering with an officer
