YouTube TV will roll out new subscription options early next year, including a sports-only package and more than 10 other genre-based bundles. The move marks the first time the streaming service will break up its traditional all-in-one channel lineup.
The sports plan will include access to major broadcast networks and popular sports channels such as FS1, NBC Sports Network and ESPN. Fans will also be able to add NFL Sunday Ticket and NFL RedZone for extra coverage.
Other packages will focus on news, family programming , and entertainment. YouTube says the goal is to give viewers more control over what they pay for, instead of requiring them to buy the full $82.99 bundle.
