A West Midlands Police sergeant will appear before a crown court on suspicion of rape, after two years of full pay since being suspended from his post.
Karl Mumby, 47, was suspended from his duties in November 2023 on full pay when the allegations were reported to the force, Birmingham Live reports .
He has been charged with two offences of rape and one of coercive control relating to the same woman , West Midlands Police said in a statement.
