NEW YORK — Wenne Alton Davis, who appeared in popular TV shows such as “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and “New Amsterdam,” died Monday after she was struck by a car.
Authorities tell USA Today that Davis, 60, “sustained severe trauma to the head and body" in the crash, which occurred at about 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of West 53rd Street and Broadway. She was taken to a hospital, where she died of her injuries.
Davis was crossing the intersection when she was struck by a 2023 Cadillac XT6 driven by a 61-year-old man, People reports . No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.
The New York Post reports Davis worked full time as a customs agent at John F. Kennedy International Airport but took acting jobs on the side. Her most recent role was in 2023 as a
