SURPRSIE, AZ (AZFamily) — Two people are in the hospital after a serious crash in Surprise on Thursday morning.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, three cars were involved in the collision near 219th Avenue and Sun Valley Parkway shortly before 7 a.m. While details remain limited at this time, deputies confirmed that two people were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

Arizona’s Family news chopper witnessed a white pickup truck with extensive damage to its front grill and a smashed windshield on the driver’s side, a dark-colored Jeep with a smashed hood, and an SUV with damage to its front grill. Debris was scattered across the road, including pieces of bumpers.

Deputies are working to determine what led up to the collision.
