CANTON, Ohio — Two Canton women have been indicted by a grand jury on several charges, including aggravated murder, after an Akron man was found dead earlier this year.

According to court records, Dorothy Lowery, 70, and her daughter, Yolanda Lowery, 54, are facing the below charges in connection with the death of Jerry Morris:

Aggravated murder

Kidnapping

Murder

Felonious assault

Tampering with evidence

Gross abuse of a corpse

The pair are scheduled to be arraigned on Friday in Stark County Common Pleas Court.

Canton police said Morris, 54, was found dead in Akron on Aug. 1, but investigators from both the Canton and Akron police departments later determined that the killing occurred in Canton "on or about" July 30.
