An Edinburgh newspaper editor has been suspended from their role after he was arrested and charged in connection with alleged 'indecent online communications.'
David McCann, of the Times and Sunday Times Scotland, was charged on November 25, after police had executed a search warrant a property in the capital.
The 43-year-old was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court where it is understood he entered no plea on Wednesday November 26.
McCann was remanded in custody overnight and was released on bail after a further court appearance on November 27.
