METAMORA TWP, MI — Bailey’s Ice Cream and Smokehouse has reopened for the holiday season, turning its shop into a Christmas-themed attraction, and families have only two more weekends to take advantage of it.

Located at 3546 S. Lapeer Road in Metamora Township, the business typically closes at the end of September.

But for the third year in a row, owners Michele Baker and her husband Jeff Baker have brought it back for December weekends only.

Bailey’s is open from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays with a building full of holiday decorations, activities and treats.

Baker said the idea grew from a simple love of Christmas and a desire to create a nostalgic, joyful space for families during a hectic time of year.
