ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Griffin police said they arrested a suspect who had been on the run for more than a year.
Police said they took 37-year-old Joseph Davis into custody Wednesday with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service.
Davis had been evading law enforcement since November 2024, according to police. He was wanted on multiple charges, including:
Home invasion
Aggravated assault
Aggravated battery
Two counts of aggravated stalking
Three counts of cruelty to children
Criminal trespass–damage to property
Failure to appear
Probation violation
Griffin police said they and the Marshals Service captured Davis “safely and without incident” after an “extensive” two-month investigation.
