SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The public museum is bringing nostalgia to Sioux City with its newest exhibit: “Toys and Quilts.”
The museum says its exhibit features a selection of childhood toys from the public museum’s collection. It runs from Saturday, Dec. 13, until Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the museum, located at 607 4th Street.
From a miniature farm set hand-carved by a Sioux City resident around 1950 to a Milton Bradley cardboard toy village from 1909.
The exhibit also features post-World War II Fisher-Price toys from the 1950s and 1960s, and a 1967 GI-Joe figure. Barbie dolls from the 1960s and 170s are also on display at the exhibit.
Accompanying the toys is a collection of patchwork quilts dating from the 1840s and 1940s. The quilts feature several patterns, such as the Dresden Plat
