One of the biggest and best meteor showers of the year is set to take to the skies this weekend, as the Geminids will hit their peak.
According to astronomers, the annual meteor shower produces more than 100 meteors per hour at its zenith, and is one of the most colorful of the year.

According to the Adler Planetarium, the Geminids are most active on Saturday and Sunday, with the best time to see the meteor shower occurring just after midnight.
