WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — A CSX train broke down Thursday afternoon in Williamsburg, Virginia, blocking Airport Road near the intersections of Richmond Road and Mooretown Road, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.

The disabled train is currently stopped across the roadway, preventing traffic from passing through the area. Deputies are urging drivers to avoid Airport Road and use alternate routes until the blockage is cleared.

There is no estimated time for when the train will be moved. Officials say updates will be provided as new information becomes available.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office thanks drivers for their patience and cooperation.
