COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - One person was injured in a shooting in Colorado Springs Thursday night, according to police.
The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said officers responded to reports of a shooting at 1600 South Nevada Avenue, near East Navajo Street, just after 6 p.m.
Upon arrival, police said they found a victim at the scene with one gunshot wound to his lower leg. The injury is non-life-threatening, CSPD said.
According to police, the suspect had left the scene before officers arrived.
Police said witnesses reported that the shooting may have stemmed from a dispute over money.
Detectives with the assault unit are developing suspect information, and at this time, police say they believe this was an isolated incident.
