CINCINNATI —
A Cincinnati firefighter was taken to the hospital with a knee injury after a fire broke out in Evanston on Thursday night.
The fire happened in the 1800 block of Hewitt Avenue, near Bonaparte Avenue, around 8:30 p.m. Advertisement
According to officials at the scene, the fire was put out quickly and the house was vacant.
The firefighter who suffered the injury was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. The Cincinnati Fire Department said the knee injury is minor.

The cause of the fire has not been released by investigators. An estimated $70,000 in damage was caused.
