A backpacker has been jailed for four years for killing a dad in a drunk e-scooter crash. Alicia Kemp, 25, pled guilty to dangerous driving causing death while under the influence of alcohol on Friday, December 5.

Kemp, from Redditch in Worcestershire, was over the legal blood alcohol limit when she hit Thanh Phan, 51, while at the controls of the scooter and carrying a passenger in May.

Appearing at Perth District Court in Western Australia, Kemp was sentenced after she pled guilty to dangerous driving causing death while under the influence of alcohol in August following the crash which took place in the city on May 31, reports the Mirror .
