Tributes are pouring in for a well known football fan, who died following an accident near his home when he fell from a ladder while hanging up Union Jack flags on lampposts. Bristol City supporter Paul Lumber was a prominent figure in the infamous CSF - City Service Firm - during the "casuals" era of the 1980s.
More recently, he wrote two books recounting the exploits that made him a familiar face among football enthusiasts nationwide. Friends have remembered Paul as a "one off", stating that his loss is deeply felt across South Bristol.
