Manitoba Hydro is urging customers to be cautious after reports of a fraudulent email designed to look like an official “bill is ready” notice landed in inboxes this week.
The email closely mimics Hydro’s billing messages, but officials say there are telltale differences that should raise red flags. Customers are advised to double-check that the sender is notifications@hydro.mb.ca and that the portion of their service address and account number shown in the message matches their records.

“If this information doesn’t appear correct, do not reply or click on any links, and delete the email,” the utility advised.
Customers who use online accounts can log in directly through a web browser or the official Manitoba Hydro app to confirm whether a new bill has been issued
