COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) is investigating a shooting that happened early Friday morning.

Deputies responded to the 10000 block of Two Notch Road after receiving calls of a suspicious person around 1 a.m. They reportedly found one victim on the ground with a gunshot wound in the middle section of their body.

First aid was administered until emergency services arrived. The victim, a male, was then transported to the local hospital.

At this time, no suspects have been named.
