RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Deputies are investigating a deadly shooting in Richland County that also left another person wounded on Friday night.
The Richland County Sheriff's Department said deputies were sent to the 7500 block of Hunt Club Road around 9:30 p.m. in response to the shooting. They arrived to find a male victim with a gunshot wound to his midsection. The sheriff's department said deputies provided medical aid to the victim until emergency medical services personnel took him to the hospital.
As deputies were arriving at the hospital, they learned that another gunshot victim had arrived. That victim had a gunshot wound to the upper body and was later pronounced dead. Authorities have determined both victims were tied to the same incident.
